How to get the right ZIP
- In Instagram, open Accounts Center → Your information and permissions → Export your information. Select your Instagram profile and export to your device.
- Deselect all categories, then tick only Followers and following. Leave photos, videos, Reels, Stories, likes, comments, messages and contacts unticked to keep the ZIP smaller.
- Choose JSON and All time, check the notification email, then start the export. Menu labels can vary by app version.
- When Instagram emails you that it is ready, return to Instagram and download the ZIP. The email is a notification, not the ZIP attachment. Select the original ZIP here without extracting it.

Can I see who unfollowed me with one export?
One complete export can show who does not follow you back. To see usernames missing since an earlier date, compare two exports from the same account. An absence can also come from a rename, deactivation, or an incomplete export.
Do you need my Instagram password?
No. Follower analysis reads files you choose on your device. We do not ask for your Instagram password, session cookie, or account access.
Can I view private or expired stories?
No. The story viewer only retrieves public content available through the connected provider. It cannot access private profiles, Close Friends stories, or expired content.
